“ Came to Madre with a friend and local. It was my first time in Raleigh and her first time to Madres. We were really glad we went. First we enjoyed the margaritas, loaf of bread which was warmed and served with a compounded butter, olives, and the shrimp. For seconds, we went for yellowtail crudo, papitas, and the popular Calabrian chicken. The shrimp was the most unforgettable experience. The saffron sauce its layered on top of is like some crazy nectar of the gods stuff. The shrimp are tender and done exquisitely. The chicken was good, but the shrimp hands down was a sensory experience like non other. ”

“ We decided on this restaurant for our one year anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint!!! Upon entering we were greeted by friendly, welcoming and warm host. I did not get his name, but the gentleman has a tattoo of a cross on his upper back. The warm atmosphere paired with ambient lighting and groovy music all played well into double verifying this location! Our server for the night was Lindsey! She was amazing!! Very informed about the menu and drink offering. Good socialization and timing to not overwhelming us with frequent visits to the table. She was stellar! Very communicative, efficient and just overall pleasant and bubbly spirit to interact with. For our anniversary the restaurant was extremely generous in gifting us free wine and dessert to end our night!! They also gave us a congratulatory card in which we took home. “ I was coming back to Raleigh to visit old friends and wanted to organize a reunion dinner of sorts. The guest list ended up being 17 people which qualified as an organized event at Madre, meaning we needed to use their event planner. We were given several menu options, of which we picked the cheapest at 55pp, tax and tip not included. I knew this would limit the about of food we were each given by the fixed menu and I was somewhat disappointed by how rigid they were with servings. We asked for an extra small plate and they charged us 14. However, I would expect that at a restaurant of this caliber. The food and the ambiance were top notch. I would love to come back here for a normal meal. This would definitely make a great date spot. Thank you, Madre for a memorable event! ”

“ We had an amazing time at Madre. The food was fantastic and Johnny our waiter did an excellent job explaining to us what the menu was like. He is clearly very knowledgeable about the menu and understood his favourites compared to crowd favourites. Id highly recommend their roasted cauliflower, fried chicken and Salchipapas fried potatoes. Their menu is seasonal changes fairly often too. I wish we had a chance to tired their bone marrow! If were ever in town again wed definitely come back. You wont be disappointed if you make a trip for this! ”
